Hello everyone - Does anyone know the status of Proplab-Pro software, if it is still available and still supported? I can't find any info dated after 2016 and have received no replies to my inquiries at the developer Solar Terrestrial Dispatch.

Thanks!

Yes, that's the one I tried. It appears the ordering page is active but I have several questions for the developer before I buy. So far, no response.

Thanks for your offer, Carl - One of my main questions is: Has the Windows 10 display problem been fixed? According to the ordering page,

" Proplab-Pro does not recognize the magnification capabilities of Windows 10 (yet). As a result, if your Windows 10 is set to enlarge the text beyond 100% (for easier reading), some clipping of the visible areas of Proplab-Pro’s windows might occur. We plan to address this in upcoming releases. "

I have to use magnification with my high-resolution monitors in order to see anything, so I think this problem would be a non-starter for me. But I have not heard anything about this in my inquiries to Solar Terrestrial Dispatch.

Whit,

Getting the attention of Solar Terrestrial Dispatch can be difficult at times. Been there, done that. Eventually they've answered all my questions. My questions have always been of a technical nature about which IRI model they use, understanding which electron-collision frequency to use (depends on whether you're using the Appleton-Hartree or Sen-Wyler formulation), having them add the detailed polarization data along the path that was ray traced, etc.

I have a 24-inch monitor with my desktop, and Proplab fills it nicely. I've never tried to enlarge it. When I get home (I'm in CT at the moment), I can check that out. I can also tell you what the latest update is.

FYI - NW7US has nothing to do with Proplab.

Carl,

Thanks for pointing that out…I’ve communicated with him and somehow thought he was. My mistake!

To Whit:

You may want to consider an acrylic Fresnel lens monitor magnifier to help.

See (one variation): Kantek MAXVIEW LCD Monitor Magnifier for 24-Inch Widescreen Monitors (Measured Diagonally) (MAG24WL) available on Amazon is pretty cool. It moves in and out to change the magnification

Smaller versions are also made for Smartphones but are fixed projection acrylic Fresnel lens.

See (one variation):  Phone Screen Magnifier for Cell Phone with Bluetooth Speakers 12'' 3D HD Phone Screen Amplifier Projector with Foldable Holder Stand Anti-Blue Light Mobile Phone Screen Enlarger for All Smartphones.

Amazon has a large selection for monitors and smartphones.
