Hey everyone!
Elliot just went through his hives and only has a single frame to extract (not the 4 that he was hoping).
Anyone else have a few frames that they want extracted? I really had to start from scratch this year and have no extra frames (and in fact am even worried about having enough for overwintering).
Yvon, had you mentioned that you might have a frame or two? Of course, we can make sure that you have a bottle of extracted honey as compensation. If so, maybe I can pick it up tomorrow before the workshop.
Anyone else?
Jillian, can you post new reminders about the workshop tomorrow? Maybe you could even ask whether anyone has anything to extract. Any other sources?
I did drop by Barb’s today. She left a key for me at her work and today I used it to make sure that the extractor was there. All looks great (Thanks Barbara, if you are monitoring). It looks like a great day tomorrow.

Hi Roger,
I just went through all 4 of my hives and could only find 1 frame of honey without any brood.
Do we have enough for tomorrow or should I pick out some more
Elliott

Thanks, Barb. I will keep that in mind, but would like to keep it as a last chance option. It would be better to have wider participation by other members but also it would be nice to have a source guaranteed beforehand rather than needing to scrounge a hive at the last minute.
Thank you so much! So we now have a frame from Elliott and a frame from Lorraine. Hopefully a few others will step up, but at least we have a start.
Let me wait to hear from Yvon, but I can probably drop by before the workshop, as you suggested, on my way to Dartmouth.
Thanks again.

Jillian,
Thanks for the update. No blame here. I was simply trying to update. So we should remove the bucket from the equipment list? But hopefully the tank and the strainers are still around but unaccounted for? They would certainly be GREATLY appreciated for the upcoming workshop. It also sounds, from what I recall, that that we should be more judicious with shared purchases??
Let’s just now try to update the inventory list and make the upcoming workshop a success.

The strainer and uncapping tank went back with the extractor (and I can say with assurity because I have zero space to store anything at my place). I actually never ended up using the uncapping tank. Seemed too large and another thing I would've had to clean when I only ever extract one or two mediums.

Thanks for the update, Jillian.
When you said that the tank and strainer went back with the extractor, are you referring to 4 years ago? Sehne says that she did not get them from you and only has the extractor. Any idea who has them now? The tank in particular could be useful for the workshop if people bring a bunch of frames to extract.

Jillian,
Sehne dropped off the extractor yesterday. I had a bit of a chat with him. He will be coming to the workshop tomorrow, since he was not sure how to use it on his own.
Will you pass by or at least near to Lorraine’s on your way to my place? If so, could you can pick up the honey tank on your way to the workshop? It is a bit out of the way for me, and I am likely to be busy getting other things ready for the workshop. (Like the new extractor, which I have never used before.)
See you tomorrow,
R.
