Happy Father’s Day!

Okay. This is the last update in advance of Wednesday morning’s Solstice ULoop and Art Run. Starting and ending at BS. Art run departs at 5:30. Regular ULoop at 6:00. All back to BS for Solstice Celebration at 7:15. Bring food and drink to share. (Not too much.)

Art Run Homework: Spend at least two minutes each looking over the two images below by Degas and Rodin. (Don’t cheat. It’s longer than you think. The average time spent in front of a painting in museums is 27 seconds. It took Leonardo 10 yrs to finish the Mona Lisa and you wait an hour at the Louvre to see it for 2 min.)

Then think of three words for each that describe the painting/sculpture. Don’t overthink this. There will not be a quiz. Just whatever sticks in your head.

That’s all. See you Wed.

Homework Assignment #1:

Student: Peter Flemings

Degas: Joy, summer, and ghosts

Rodin: hamstring stretch, physical therapy, good lats.

Comment: staring at a painting for 2 minutes is approximately as difficult as doing a 2 minute plank. This explains my wife’s frustration with my attention span at the museum.

I’m not a native English speaker, but I know how to count. You have 6 words for Rodin.

I am so sorry to miss this!  Everyone have fun and be sure to take pictures.. I would especially love to see a riff on Peter’s thoughts…. Everyone doing a two minute plank in front of an art installation. ;-).

Pardon my typos. It made perfect sense before auto-correct changed it.
