Query on ADT-1 form

Auditor is a proprietorship firm. In form ADT-1 if we select category of auditor as firm then system asking for two different PAN, one for auditor firm and second for auditor signing the balance sheet. When we enter same PAN no. System is throwing error to enter valid PAN so do we need to select category of auditor as individual to overcome this issue?

Any one faced this issue?

In  our case, CA firm was a proprietorship Firm.

Therefore, we have written Individual as auditor after informing the AUDITOR.

It depends upon,if the firm has FRN or not.If not,then you are to select individual and give his membership number and PAN.

If you select the option of firm,then it will be necessary to mention FRN and it's PAN.

Respected Arun Sir,

The firm has FRN but as i already mentioned that it is a proprietorship firm hence there is only one PAN i.e. PAN of proprietor. So, if i select firm and edit the PAN of proprietor in both column i.e. PAN of firm and PAN of auditor signing the balance sheet then system is throwing error and asking to enter unique PAN No. 

So, FRN does not become relevant here, rather the constitution of firm matters. In the case of partnership firm, one would be able to edit two different PAN asked by the system.
