resteasy pr, please help

I was hoping to create a gwizard-java8 library akin to dropwizard-java8. To allow a ParamConverter turn null inputs to Optional.empty we need this PR to be merged:

Honestly, the dependence on a jboss project is one of the scariest things about gwizard, too hard to get things fixed. Perhaps we need a fork ready to modernize things without inventing our own DI framework. ;)

How about we make GWizard Java8-only? My initial thoughts were "too soon", but upon further reflection, I would be surprised if anyone starting a project in GWizard would be limited to Java7. And that cohort is shrinking fast.

WRT Reasteasy - there's no internal dependence on resteasy right now; the gwizard-jersey module is a "perfect substitute", excepting possible future compatibility issues with jersey. Pick your poison :-)
