I want to give a shout out to Marco at Retro Moto Guzzi in Italy

He has been a very big help in finding all sorts of parts for my 1948 Airone and the 1948 GTV motor I have been rebuilding. I email  the parts I need listing the parts manual I am referring to, the 'Tavola" (page number), the part on the Tavola slide and the Moto Guzzi Part Number, he gets back to me quickly with availability, price and shipping cost and ships to me in Canada with DHL,  parts arrive within 1 week.

If you have not tried him before I think you will be peased with his service.

I have used Marco at Guzziretro for the supply of all  parts I have needed in the restoration of my Ercolino, Super Alce and Cardellino 73.

 

As you say he has an amazing number of spares available and was able to supply everything I needed. Bearing in mind only 36000 Ercolinos were made I was surprised at what he was able to supply.

 

I have always given him lists in the same format as Jim and Marco comes back to me with availability and price almost immediately.

 

If ever you are in Mandello Del Lario it is worth the 2 km trip south to Marcos shop where you can spend a happy few hours just drooling over the restored motorcycles and spares on display.

Jim, how long did it take for them to get back to you after you messaged them?

It varies, a week or two, if longer I sent a reminder email. Probably better to call him at his shop but with the 8 hour time change to Canada I just use email.
