For our U.S. members, I've just seen nice looking GT16 for auction onBring A Trailer. I don't think we have such a thing in England, I'd be interested to see what it goes for.

This one got some big money, and it certainly represents the amount of time and money used to bring an old 'slicer to this level.

$32k USD. By the time you pay the auction fee, get it shipped, pay the taxes, etc. you will be shelling out some serious money. I hope that it gets used and not tucked away in a climate controlled collection.

Wow, they're asking a lot.  There's a GT17 for sale in the UK for £14,000 which doesn't seem bad at all
or a couple of Super Alce for  £12,000 each  which is quite high for these, they don't seem to be that popular.

Super Alce are great  bikes in my opinion, but  compared to the civilian models they are an ugly duckling. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. £5k is ball park for them in  UK now. I see the see the same inflated-price bikes still for sale in Italy,  2 years on.

Totally agree with Baconslicer. I have owned my (once his) SuperAlce for six months and enjoyed riding it. Unfortunatly I have come to reliase that age has caught up with me and I have difficulty pushing it around and putting on centre stand. Therefore I have decided to sell it. £5000 located in Norfolk UK. I am not giving up riding but will keep to my four Italian lightweights.WhatsApp Image 2026-02-02 at 18.30.35.jpeg

That's a shame, George. I am currently custodian of a 1936 GTS, they are much lower all round, the Alce/Super Alce and much easier to manoeuvre. Do you have any objection to me trying to copy the photo to advertise it on the vmcc page?

Please do I will be taking more photos tomorrow if that would help and I can email or WhatsApp them to you. It is a shame as I enjoy riding it but have got to accept what my old bones are telling me. I have a 175 Moto Morini and a Lodola to finish restoring and will be using my two Ducati bevel singles to use this summer.
