I'm just on the finishing stages of building a 73cc Cardellino for my wife and have hit a snag (one of many).  Anyway the the lug on my centre stand seems to have been modified and does not engage either with the frame either with the stand up or down (thus the stand is no use).

Can anyone show me how the stand is supposed to engage in the up and down positions.

This is what the lug on my stand currently looks like

Thanks

Hmmm, no replies yet? I'll go through my photos and see if I have anything. I had one in the shop a few years ago when  did flood damage repairs for a friend.

Don't know if these will help or not. This is a bike we had for a few weeks waiting for the shipper to come get it.
I'll see what else I have.....

Thanks Rick, lovely wee bike.

Think one of the problems with mine is the non standard exhaust which stopped the stand from fully retracting.  Ive fixed that with my grinder.  Have also butchered the front of the stand and will make a lug that does the job.

Thanks again

And I realized that the bikes I had here were Motoleggero's/Guzzino's but thought , well maybe the photos will still help. Should have more photos if you are looking for ideas.

Thanks Rick. After an hour lying under the bike cutting, grinding and installing on and off I’ve now got something that works.  Just need to weld the new lug onto the stand.  Ohh and order a spring as my 60 year old one snapped (metal fatigue).  Typical I thought !!!

LOL!
Make no mistake. I'm laughing with you NOT at you. I was in a local hardware store buying some nuts and bolts for my BSA last week a saw a selection of springs. I thought it was good to know they were there. Naturally the right size will be elusive anyway but they have some. Good luck!

Granger supply would have springs too. You would need to measure yours to compare.
