writing a grpc-based interface specification

Hello,

we are using gRPC as part of a client-server system for which we need to write a formal interface specification. Is there any formal gRPC documentation that I could reference, i.e. something more formal than a bunch of web-based tutorials ?

What experience do others have with formalizing gRPC-based interfaces ? We are surely not the first ones to run into such questions...

Depending on what you mean by "formal," https://github.com/googleapis/googleapis may be a good reference.

If that's not what you're looking for, describe more of what you mean by "formal." (There are a couple different usages that vary by circumstance.)
