Community Support for the gRPC performance issue

Hello,

 

We are currently using GRPC version 1.61.0 and on this version gRPC 3PP C++ library exhibits higher CPU usage compared to the gRPC JAVA library

 

An issue was logged on the gRPC repository for this: High CPU Usage Observed in C++ gRPC Server Compared to Java gRPC Server · Issue #38002 · grpc/grpc

Currently, there has been no progress on this matter, and we need assistance in getting it prioritized.

The team has ongoing work to improve performance, it is a temporary compromise to make large changes in the codebase. There is no firm deadline we can report. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Hi,

I am using 1.64.0, and trying to figure out the performance issues, here is a flamegraph of about 5 min request/reply calls  for one method in 1 second interval with perf record -e cpu-clock .... any comments? what I have done wrong? Thanks in advance!
