Folks, we did it. 

On Saturday we'll be playing in the semis for our final fall tournament as G&G. Games are at 11am & 1pm on the polo fields against some other teams. Please RSVP on the website so we know what we're dealing with for numbers.

If people are comfortable with it (COVID-wise), I propose that we go out for some food/drinks after we play. Open to suggestions on where, but it would be fun to put a nice cap on the season before we hibernate until spring league. 

Quick note - there's a half marathon in the morning that should be all wrapped up by our gametime. I know our team likes to show up very early for warm-ups, so resist the urge.

Do us all a favor and bow out gracefully in the semis so that I can join for an afternoon hang sesh without having to wait too long for a bunch of tryhards.

I can’t make the first game, but if we do opt to not lose with dignity in the semis, I’ll be there for the finals. 

Can we bring back all those people we had for our first two games last week? And the donuts? Subs and donuts were *tight*.

I'll be there! But I'd rather not play because my groin is still pulled. But I will play if we need a dude who remains slow. I guess this is to say that I'll do that very stupid thing of showing up with a light, a dark, and plenty of water with no intention of playing and then playing.

For those who have to drive (Bmarsh and Colleen, JP?) best approach is to come via GW parkway southbound and cross at Arlington Memorial Bridge … if Arlington Bridge is closed, may have to take GW Southbound to 395 N, take exit 2 “Potomac Park”, L onto Buckeye Dr, L onto Ohio Dr, then L on E Basin Dr. and then slight right onto Independence. Hopefully those routes are open.

Looks like Lincoln Memorial Circle will reopen at 10:30 if anyone plans on using it to get to Ohio Drive.

Unexpectedly, and even more unfortunately, Sarah Grace and I are in town and are available to play despite our best efforts. See you all begrudgingly on the field. But Bmarsh should still invite Hannah (and Cranston).

With all those additions we have 9 men and 8 women. 9 women if Molly is joining as well - so our cup truly overfloweth with subs.

With that many subs we can’t lose…unless the other team files a complaint for non-rostered players 🤣

Iris, we didn't lose to ponies or carrots. It was the exact right way to lose with dignity and get to the bar.

Now we have the whole winter to crush up some zoloft, roll it up in some zig-zags, enjoy it with a zima while making suggestive gestures with a zucchini.
