Fellow Deadbeats,

Our double-header weekend has finally arrived! After a much deserved rest for such a dedicated group of athletes, it's time to put the clown suits on once again. This Saturday at 12 AND 2 we'll be playing against other teams at Sligo Middle School. Please bring white & dark shirts, beers, and some zoloft. 

Also, please RSVP on the website because we really need subs for two games so we might have to invite some additional deadbeats to make ends meet. 

Looking forward to seeing all your bright and shining faces in the suburbs on Saturday!

I have some good news and some bad news.

The good news: we are very likely moving our double header to the polo fields in dc so we can all bike to the games. I will confirm with everyone later today when I work things out with the other captains.

The bad news: we don’t have enough players. Please go and sign up for the game. Even our fearless other captain Colin is taking a work call from the fields just to show his commitment! 

If we don’t have enough players by Thursday night I’m going to start reaching to sub line - and I hate try hards so don’t make us do this.

Jorve - I’m trying to lock down the tournament weekend with Tim - will let everyone know as soon as I hear back! But as of now, that is a potential weekend for it.

WEEKEND UPDATE:
We are officially playing at the polo fields @12 & 2, and now have enough players to not have to tap into sub list. In my eyes we’ve already won.

Zimas and/or Zolofts,

I ran into our fearless conference-calling captain, Colin, at Midlands tonight and let him know about our 1-1 performance. He apologized for not showing up for the last 20 minutes of a game we weren’t going to win. I trust that this apology is unacceptable and he will be bringing sufficient amounts of Tecate to our next game as penance.

It’s true. I was at a bar later in the day. I’d like to think I would have been the difference maker, but we all know that’s not true. 

Anyway, looking forward to some tecates with you babies in the future.

Just a quick update - on Tuesday night I should know what the rest of the season schedule looks like. Once I know, I’ll send out an email to the thread!

Great drinking and hanging with everyone Saturday! Playing was cool too.
