Hello everybody,

I've just downloaded gremlin console into my mac and got the Neo4j plugin.

After running `:install org.apache.tinkerpop neo4j-gremlin 3.1.0-incubating`

and restarting gremlin I noticed that the neo4j-gremlin wasn't listed among the available plugins.
I solved the issues by replacing '"$DIR"/../ext' with '"$DIR"/ext' in gremlin.sh

Hope this can help somebody.

Cheers,

Alberto

Hi Alberto,

Thanks, I ended up doing manual installs...

Can you guys show your complete console session? We've tested the scripts on several systems and it always worked w/o any modifications.

Cheers,
Daniel

whoa - if this is a bug for mac it would have been there since pre-release candidate days with 3.0.0.M8 which is April (looks like the commit was january 2014).  If this is a problem, I'd expect other plugins to fail as well.

to add to daniel's request - please include how you start the console from your terminal.

Hi all,

Probably related to this issue, it would be great if the gremlin repl used your working directory for relative file locations. Now, I end up creating working directories in gremlinhome for easy access to my own scripts and property files.

Hello again,

to start the console I type ./gremlin.sh from Gremlin's bin/ directory, then I copy paste the lines reported in the documentation.
I noticed that the ext/ folder is in the bin/ directory and I replaced the path ;)

Hope this helps.

Ah, wait, there is an ext/ folder in the Gremlin's home, too O_o

you shouldn't run from bin.  if you just do:

bin/gremlin.sh

everything should work.  if someone can offer a PR to fix that so that you can run gremlin.sh from wherever, then that would be cool. :)

I see, sorry for the misreporting.

Cheers,
