Getting started with tinkerpop it is still very unclear to me how apache spark, and especially graphX or graphframes are interweaved with tinkerpop. The only thing I could find is https://github.com/apache/tinkerpop/tree/master/spark-gremlin/src/main/java/org/apache/tinkerpop/gremlin/spark are there some materials out there to get started?

How does SparkGraphComputer come into play? Will it leverage graphframes under the hood?
Is there any performance comparison of tikerpop / spark-gremlin vs plain graphX or graphframes out there?

Cheers,
Georg

There is no direct integration of Gremlin with graphx/frames. I'm not sure if you've seen this section of the reference docs or not, but it describes how Gremlin works with spark:

Note that I didn't link to the sections specific to spark as I think that if you are just getting started and asking these questions It would probably be helpful to read through all of it.
