Bangladesh High Court recognizes all rivers as living entities

Note: One hopes Supreme Court of India will pay heed to the verdict of Bangladesh High Court that recognizes all rivers as living entities. Notably, Uttarakhand High Court had passed a similar order

recognizing Ganga as a living entity. This High Court order is now before the Supreme Court of India on jurisdictional ground. The matter pending for long withoutvany hearing. Amidst all round water crisis, is it appropriate for the Supreme Court to continue to withold its recgnition of Ganga and all the other rivers as living entities.
