Rahul Gandhi's (unedited) first press briefing, yesterday, after the historic win in Karnataka -- the biggest in the last 34 years: <https://fb.watch/kv_-OxrBR5/?mibextid=Nif5oz> (or a slightly shorter version at <https://www.indiatoday.in/elections/karnataka-assembly-polls-2023/video/karnataka-mein-nafrat-ki-bazaar-band-hui-hai-mohabbat-ki-dukaan-khuli-hai-rahul-gandhi-on-congress-win-2378706-2023-05-13>).

Apart from the actual contents -- the pointed affirmation of and emphasis on solidarising with the poor, Mohabbat as opposed to Nafrat, and five pre-poll commitments -- just mark his tone and body language.
No trace whatever of any triumphalism, let alone boastful chest-thumping. Pretty much modest, sincere and friendly.

What a huge contrast with the vile and vulgar one.
