(Of course, at yet another level, it's a strong indicator that the ("Modani") campaign has hit where it hurts.)

Modi, as it appears, is taking a page out of the Kleptocrat Putin's playbook and moving determinedly towards converting India into an "Opposition-Mukt Democracy" ("democracy" freed of (any real) opposition).
