Deputy Chairman, Security Council of Russia, Once Again Issues Nuclear Threat Against the Enemy

That the "bluff" has lost much of its teeth -- which had even made Putin himself once blurt out that he was not bluffing, albeit with little effect -- no way dilutes the moral repugnance of such an egregious threat issued by the Deputy Chairman, and no less, of the Security Council of Russia.

It deserves the strongest condemnation.

<<If the Ukrainian offensive is successful and takes over part of Russian territory, Moscow would have to use nuclear weapons. The deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council wrote on Telegram, Dmitry Medvedev.

“Our armed forces, repelling the counteroffensive of the collective enemy, are protecting Russian citizens and territory. This is evident to all decent people,” Medvedev wrote. “However, beyond that they prevent a world conflict,” he added. This is because "if we imagine that the Ukrainian offensive, with the support of NATO, is successful and they conquer part of our land, then, by virtue of the presidential decree of February 6, 2020, we should use nuclear weapons,” Medvedev warned. “There is no other way out. Our enemies must pray for our fighters. They prevent the global nuclear fire from igniting. Happy Russian Navy Day,” he said.>>

Not to forget, despite the latest chunks occupied Ukrainian territories having been incorporated within Russia with much fanfare and accompanied by such a threat, days after the Russian forces would rather tamely withdraw from strategically important Kharkiv.
