So it goes to Chhapra, in Bihar, from Surat, in Gujarat, via Bengaluru, in Karnataka.
Starts on May 16 and reaches destination on May 25 - instead of 18th.
Takes 9 days instead of 2 - more than 4 times.
The report is taken down without any explanation!!!
<<Deccan Herald reported that the train left from Surat on 16 May and was scheduled to reach Chhapra in north Bihar on 18 May. However, sources told the newspaper that the train veered off the correct track at Maharashtra's Bhusaval, and instead of going northwards towards Prayagraj and then onwards to Chhapra, went southwards to Bengaluru.
The newspaper reported that due to the (rather long) diversion, the train took a total of nine days to reach its intended destination, and only reached Chhapra on 25 May.>>

Updates.
I. The news portal, referred to in the mail below has also taken down the report on the ground that the original had taken down.
But, the report went online only after the original report havong been taken down - as is evident from the report.
So...???
And, there's no retraction.
II. There's, apparently, no official response as yet.
III. There's a deafening silence in the MSM.
IV. Reproduced below a link to a report, dated May 26, in Hindi which posits that at least 40 Shramik Special Trains have reportedly gone astray.

ट्रेनें एक या दो नहीं भटकी हैं। कम से कम 40 ऐसी ट्रेनों के भटकने की ख़बर है। 'पत्रिका' ने इस पर ख़बर छापी। इस ख़बर में दावा किया गया कि बेंगलुरु से क़रीब 1450 यात्रियों को लेकर चली ट्रेन यूपी के बस्ती जा रही थी लेकिन गाज़ियाबाद पहुँच गई। मुंबई के कुर्ला से 21 मई को पटना के लिए चली ट्रेन पश्चिम बंगाल के पुरुलिया में पहुँच गई। दरभंगा के लिए चली एक ट्रेन राउरकेला पहुँच गई। इस ख़बर को ट्वीट करते हुए कांग्रेस नेता और पार्टी के प्रवक्ता रणदीप सिंह सुरजेवाला ने सीधे रेलवे मंत्री पीयूष गोयल पर निशाना साधा। उन्होंने तो गोयल को शर्म करने की बात कह दी।>>
