Akola is the parliamentary seat from which Prakash Ambedkar, now the leader of the Vanchit Bahujan Aaghadi (VBA), contests.

Yogendra Yadav is campaigning for the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), of which the INC, SS (UBT) and the NCP (SP) are the main constituents. It's trying to unseat the Mahayuti government of the BJP, SS and NCP.

The BVA is fighting separately.
