I. Lockdown for 21 days, for now, since midnight.

II. A step in the right direction, unduly delayed.
Even on 22nd, crowds, in various places, gathered on the streets and even danced while banging the plates - in response to the PM's call on the previous 19th.

III. Far more serious is that no provision for those who live hand to mouth, for those who have no roofs over their heads.
How they're going to comply???
If not, what happens to the "lockdown" and its expected benefits???

IV. When Wuhan was put under lockdown, food was delivered to every household.
Nothing of that sort is envisaged.
Here, each one for oneself.

V. No listing out of the details - the essential exemptions etc.
(Separate order, by the MHA, covers these details.)

VI. After so much of time having elapsed - first case was identified on Jan. 30th, the first time, a financial allocation, of Rs.15,000 crore, announced.
No plan indicated.

VII. On the flip side, he tried his utmost to sound persuasive.
Also, for a change, Nehru is not blamed.
