'Summoning CEC, EC to PMO is outrageous': A Former CEC

Howsoever outrageous, this, yet again, starkly underlines how things are and would be in the "New India" being installed over the ruins of the old "India" - that had been brought into being on August 15th 1947 at the successful culmination of the epic freedom struggle spanning over half a century or so, under dismantlement.

It's about time that we Indians take note.

That this outrage has been committed with the parliament in session makes even starker the level of brazenness on the part of the regime and how irrelevant and useless even the parliament is being reduced to as, inter alia, a watchdog institution - under the "new" scheme of things.

<<The PMO summoning or “inviting” not just the CEC but the full bench is in violation of the Constitution, irrespective of how important or urgent the issue. Let alone the PS to the PM, even the mighty PM himself cannot indulge in this unacceptable act. Can you imagine the PS to the PM issuing such summons to the CJI, to come with the full bench and attend a meeting with him on judicial reforms? He will be running for cover with a contempt of court case.>>
