Grails 3.11 Webapp tries to call home?

Hi,

Rather odd behavior with a simple newly generated webapp with Grails 3.1.1 : after compiling it,
when started with "run-app" the JVM process tries to establish an Internet connection to 157.189.192.67:80

Steps to reproduce it:
 - Windows 8/JDK 8/Grails 3.1.1 fresh installation
 - create a new application with just "grails create-app myapp"
 - call "compile" from the Grails prompt.
 - call "run-app" from the Grails prompt
   --> firewall reports connection attempt to the above mentioned IP.

Anyone else observing this behavior? I can reproduce this on several machines :(.
