For some reason, the check box that used to appear next to a GQueues task in my Google Calendar is now missing.  I can still check the task completed in GQueues, but can no longer do so in Google Calendar.  Any way to get that check box back?

This happened to me also, and my wife as well.  What is the fix?

Thanks for the reports.  We are investigating the issue and will post back here later today when we know more. -Cameron

We have tracked down the problem.  Google Calendar recently changed some of its underlying HTML code, which caused the extension to no longer work.  We are working on a fix now and will post again when the issue is resolved (hopefully later today or the start of next week).

We have fixed the issue with the GQueues for Google Calendar extension.

The extension should automatically update in your Chrome browser within the next 24 hours.  To manually update it now you can follow these steps:

1. Open Extensions in Chrome ( chrome://extensions/ )

5. Once updated, reload the Google Calendar web page and click on a GQueues task on your calendar and you should see a checkbox to mark it complete.

If you still run in to issues let us know, but hopefully things are all working as expected now.

The check box is missing again.  I tried updating the extension as described above, but to no avail.

Same for me. But it's sometime OK, often not.

Hi Bill -

Sorry for the trouble.  It seems to be working okay in our testing here.  Are you still experiencing issues?  Please note that the checkbox only appears on events on the GQueues calendar - it won't appear for events on other calendars.

If the checkbox doesn't appear, if you close the event popup window and open it again, does it appear on the second time?  Let me know and that will help us debug the problem.

Hey Cameron. Thank you for your prompt response. Today, it's working and the checkbox displays. I have no explanation. Same browser (not even a browser restart), not even a system boot. Oh well. - - Bill

Thanks for letting us know, Bill.  Sometimes Google changes the underlying code of Google Calendar, which can effect extensions that run in Calendar.  If the issue crops up again please do reach out to us. -Cameron

Hi I can't seem to get the check boxes to appear in Google Calendar anymore. Everything seems to be up to date but I can't figure out how to get them to appear again.

Hi Jocelyn and Gert,

I'm sorry for the trouble with the GQueues for Google Calendar Extension!  I checked both of your accounts and the extension appears to still be installed, so I would suggest that you follow the steps at the first link below to disconnect the extension from your account and refresh your calendar.

Disconnect:

Then return to your GQueues Settings under your Google Calendar and select the option to "Connect GQueues Account".  Refresh your calendar again and see if that gets the checkbox to appear next to your GQueues tasks.

If you run into any issues, please let me know and we'll continue to troubleshoot!

Hello - I found this thread while searching for a solution to this issue, which I have not been able to resolve. I have installed the extension and connected it, disconnected it, reconnected it and still no check box to mark the task complete in my gqueue calendar. I am running extension 1.1.3

Also, I cannot follow the below instructions because there is no "gqueue settings" option under the settings (gear) icon, so I assumed that is something that has changed? My calendar and gqueues is integrated just fine, any tasks I create show up in my google calendar so that is not the issue.

Thanks for your time.

Assuming you are on Chrome on a computer, have you try reloading the calendar page with à hard refresh (ctrl-F5 on Windows, not sure on Mac, cmd-R)?

Thid brings the checkbox for me when they happen to disappear.

That did not work (I'm on Chrome on Windows). However!

Apparently there are currently TWO versions of the extension in the play store right now? I had installed 1.1.3, not the latest, 1.1.5. I removed it and installed the newer version and unsurprisingly that worked!

Thanks for the reply, though! Have a great day.
