Hey Cameron,

Does the desktop version of GQueues support Offline? I would love to add tasks while offline on my new Chromebook.

Why? My phone was dead today, and I didn't have a cable handy to plug it in to my Chromebook (which was offline). I wanted to put in a new task, but didn't have a way to do that offline.

If the desktop version is not yet able to add tasks offline, please add that capability.

Thanks!

Hey Jacob -

You can run GQueues Mobile in Chrome (or Safari) for offline capability.  Should work fine on your Chromebook.

Dear Cameron,

Firstly - GQueues is getting to be one of the best task management tools available even in its free incarnation.

Full offline access would be fantastic. We've got offline GMail and offline GCalendar to complete the productivity suite we just need GQueues.  It would make GQueues knock-out.

Keep up the good work,

Have you thought about making a desktop app?  You can take your HTML5 app to the desktop with Pokki www.pokki.com.  I am looking for a great ToDo app for the desktop and I'd love it to be GQueues.

That only seems to work for legacy operating systems. I get: "Pokki doesn't
support your operating system."

If I could vote, I would vote for this feature (again).
+2 Give the new layout some offline pizzazz

I quite enjoy keyboard shortcuts like q, i, I, o, and O. They make adding tasks a snap. then there's h, j, k, l and 0-9 that make organizing a sinch. Sadly the mobile version doesn't have this heavenly touch, so I don't use it on my chromebook. An offline cache of changes to be sent to the server would be simply marvelous.

I'm new to both Chrome and GQueues, and I wanted to clarify.....

Am I correct in understanding from Cameron's post that:
-- GQueues will work in Chrome and
-- Chrome can work offline (on the desktop) with full GQs functionality?

It sounded like from Robert Williams' post that FULL offline functionality was NOT available.

My thanks in advance for any additional follow-up and clarification.

Hi Metta -

Things have changed a bit since I posted that comment 3 years ago.  The native Android and iOS apps have replaced the GQueues Mobile HTML5 web app, so it is no longer available.

Yes, GQueues works in the Chrome web browser.

However, GQueues will not work offline in Chrome.  A network connection is required.

If you need to use GQueues offline I would recommend using one of the mobile apps on either your phone or tablet.

Hi Cameron,

Any possibility that this status has changed an the ability to use GQueues offline on desktop will be supported?  I adore GQueues but am getting ready to travel fulltime in an RV and will not always have internet access.  I hate the thought of having to find something to replace this, so I'm grasping at straws.  I have the IOS app - but I manage tons of projects (freelance) and I need to be able to type and see more than 10 words at a time - lol.

Thanks,
Barbara

Hi Barbara -

Sorry, unfortunately a desktop version of GQueues is not currently on our roadmap.
