Does gqrx run on macbook pro.   When I open the app i get an error message say 'Can't open tcp connection.  Please select another device.'
Can anyone tell me how/if this issue can be resolved?
Thank you in advance.

gqrx runs just fine on a MacBook Pro, but you have left out a few details - like what SDR are you trying to use  - what version of MacOS are you using - where did you get your version of gqrx - include the full output from gqrx including the "Can't open tcp tcp ..." message - then somebody may be able to help you.

Hi, I am having the same problem. I have a RTL-SDR V3, and a Macbook Pro running Monterey 12.7.
The message says "Can't open TCP connection. Please select another device"

thank you for any help!

Mine used to work on an MI Macbook Pro just fine, left the device in a shade for about 5 months, now It says the same error. I suspect the device is no longer functional.

Guess what, It now works! I was using a bad dongle that may be was not putting corect voltage on it. I switched to a simple USB-C to USB-A converter and it works fine.
Wakatabahu!

That is very strange - it should not be looking for a TCP connection unless the device string or device is set to something unusual.

- you should have the Device:Realtek RTL... and Device string:rtl=0 ?
