GQRX WXtoIMG

Hello,

I'm not overly new to Ubuntu, an have my system set up as dual boot with Ubuntu and Windows.
I have recently made a flash drive version of GNURADIO, and installed GQRX and WXtoIMG (for weather Satellites)
I can get a real dedicated receiver for 137MHZ to get it's Audio into WXto IMG without an Issue, but struggling to work out how to get GQRX audio into WXtoIMG.
I've tried installing Jack (got it working) and Pulse audio Jack Sync, in a hope that I could get WXtoIMG to see the Audio from my RTL Dongle and GQRX, but to no Avail. I see there something about streaming over UDP if that will be your suggestion, I'd appreciate help if someone could elaborate on that, or maybe suggest a better way of routing audio from GQRX to WXtoIMG.



Needless to say, any help will be greatly appreciated

I can't remember if I have tried this with wxtoimg but the approach works well with many other pieces of software.

Legend, it seems to work, just gotta wait 20 minutes for a satellite pass, and see if its doing what it should ;-)

This is by using the suggested method. I did however record the audio in GQRX and load that into WXtoIMG and got a reasonable decode, Although I started recording a little late,

So thanks for the initial help, I need to try and work out why its garled as it's going in? something tells me it's to do with Sample rates, as the audio I exported from GQRX, I had to downsample it to 11.025KHZ before it went into WXtoIMG. AS i say, that gives reasonable results, but would be better if I could do it in real time, as it's a lot of farting about.

I'd like to do more Audio in Ubuntu, so not gonna give up easily ;-)

​As you can tell from the better looking Image, the map overlay is in the wrong place, as I didnt start recording at the start of the pass. It's possible to get around it, by altering your clock and all that jazz, but it's a pain in the arse, just want to be able to do it in real time :-)

​well GQRX is working well with a mid priced RTL dongle. However I decoded it in windows :(

Will keep on working on trying to resolve the issue ;-)
