Filename as subject line?

Hello,

I am trying to use GYB (same dev who makes old GAM) to export a former user's emails for transfer to their supervisor. However, the filename of the exported EML files is the message ID, which is useless for trying to search for and locate specific emails.

Is there any way that the emails can be exported with GYB so that the file name is the email's subject line and not the message ID?

You're not meant to pick and choose what backed up data you restore. If you need to pick and choose, do that during the backup:

gyb --search 'subject:"this is important"'

I guess I wasn't super clear. I wasn't looking to restore the data to another account. 

I want to provide the raw EML files to the supervisor in the form of a ZIP file.

It's OK if I can't accomplish what I need with GYB, I can go down another path. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything.

The workflow you're suggesting is what Google Vault was designed for. Create a matter, define the search and share the matter with the supervisor so they can review the emails w/o the need to export anything (unless they want to)
