How to customize the index of a bar chart?

Hi there!
I have some bar charts... the parameters in those bar charts have long names and it appears cut in the index of the graph (the part that shows which color is for which parameter).

(attached is a picture of the problem)

does anyone know about a possible way to change the visualization of the index, so that the parameters names won't be cut in the middle?
