Highlight axis label

I created a simple bar chart with dates on one axis and numbers on the other axis. I would like to highlight todays date in the date-axis somehow, like making that label bold or something. 

I have tried to edit the value after with jquery but nothing happens. 

Someone knows any solution to this problem?
