Hi all,

all the time I was using the Google API in German to show dates and time in German format (e.g. 12.09.2018, 12:00):

google.charts.load('current', {packages: ['corechart'], 'language': 'de'});

Since a few days that is no longer working. All the dates and time are shown in Englisch format like 8 AM, Oct 4, etc.

What did change?

Best, Eckhard

Hi Eckhard,

The Timeline chart might be doing things incorrectly, in the tooltips, but the Table chart seems to be formatting dates correctly:  https://jsfiddle.net/dlaliberte/czt7g3hq/4/

Hi Daniel,

right, the tooltips are okay, but the axis values are in AM/PM or Okt (!) 4 format. See https://jsfiddle.net/cmyok0ws/

Best, Eckhard

You're absolutely right.  In the rather large effort to centralize all the axis tick generation, I forgot about the i18n features that were supported by default.  I will hopefully be able to quickly fold those defaults into the new tick generation for dates and times.

If you want to keep using the old version in the meantime, change 'current' to '45.2'.
