Dear gurus,

I need to use Google API to generate unique QR code and here is the result i got from google

But it clearly mentioned it was deprecated and give me an alternative
Warning: This API is deprecated. Please use the actively maintained Google Charts API instead. See our deprecation policy for details.

I swear that i tried my very best but i am unable to locate "QR code" generator API.

Could any senior here give me some pointers?

Thanks in million!

Regards,
Weilies

No change, sorry; Google Charts does not support QR codes. Your choices are to rely on the deprecated Google Image Chart API or to use a non-Google service for QR codes. (Or just download a software library for generating the QR codes yourself.)

Is it safe to use the deprecated Google chart API for live environment? I worry they will discontinue like Picasa

I can't promise anything. One difference between Picasa and Google Image Charts (not to be confused with the non-deprecated Google Charts, a JavaScript library for modern interactive charts) is that Picasa was a real service that required lots live Google engineers. In contrast, Google Image Charts just runs, without any need for full-timers. I have no plans to discontinue it, but I don't have a crystal ball.

Honestly, though, QR codes are pretty simple, and you shouldn't need Google for them. I bet there's a free library on Github that can generate them.

I found https://quickchart.io/qr-code-api/ to be a robust and reliable alternative. It can easily handle all similar parameters including colors, option of generating svg and adding logo
