Hello, I want to report that google charts are not working well. The colors are switching automatically to the predefined google colors, is anyone else experiencing this?

I've been experiencing this as well, and also if I change one thing in the chart (e.g., color of one column), the next edit I make reverts the previous edit to the default.

Yes, I have too. It just started. What changed last night?

I noticed a google update has recently occured (the palat color selectors for Sheets are now round instead of square) so, pretty sure everything went to hell after that.
Multiple problems, including having to mouse over published charts to make them visible, unable to edit series without re-formatting all data points, data points disappear when new ones are added, it's just horrible...major Google screwup.

Experiencing the same. Adjusting a stacked column chart colors changes other parts of the chart. The second color automatically changes and horizontal axis text changes also change the colors on bars.

Same! It has shown one color in the edit pane, but the graph is an entirely different color.

I spoke with Google support on the phone this morning, and after running me through several different steps was never able to resolve the problem. She told me to wait a few days to see if the problem corrected itself. If not, I'm supposed to email her back. Recommend everyone else who is experiencing these problems to do the same so Google can get on this and fix it. I'm not real confident that it is going to fix itself.

Same issue here and it needs to be fixed ASAP!  We are no longer able to have two colors in a graph and there is no longer a way to have multiple data points with custom formatting.  This is a HUGE issue.  How do we get attention on this other than posting here??

ARGH!!!!!!!

I spoke with Google on the phone yesterday. After having me try several different things she told me to just wait one or two days to see if it would fix itself. Very disappointing.
And it's not just a problem with charts. I also cannot sum across sheets anymore.

I think I just searched for Google Sheets help and they give you the option of speaking with someone - you click on that and then they call you.
I certainly share your frustration though I'm sure in your case it's double since you have a presentation. By the way, are you able to "sum across sheets" - the value of a cell from one sheet appearing in the cell of another sheet: =sheet name!cell name ?
I lost that functionality as well.

Nope, I can run sums across sheets either. To transition this all into Excel is going to be so tedious. Ugh. I am not a fan of Google right now.

Yeah, you're preaching to the choir now. One thing that Google help had me do was sign out of Google to see if that would work - which it didn't, but after thinking about it I realized I didn't sign out of Google on all my devices. I wonder if that would make a difference. I was going to try and do that tonight.

Let me know if you have any success with that. I have multiple google accounts that I'm toggling between on multiple devices, and some of the google accounts are shared with people around the world. It would take a concerted effort to make sure everyone is out at the same time.

Google Support's (GS) continued attempts to mollify its customers by providing "how to" links instead of addressing the customers' specific complaints that GOOGLE SHEETS NO LONGER WORKS only serves to further aggravate said customers.

The fact that the GS members I have spoken to do not even have a Sheets program to work with so they can see for themselves the MANY malfunctions that the Sheets program is now saddled with - nor do they apparently have any experience with Google Sheets at all - is absolutely infuriating.

It is painfully obvious that GS is nothing more than a hand-holding operation that lacks any expertise or knowledge to understand program malfunctions, or any power to get them repaired. It is just as obvious that Google has not only no intention of making this MAJOR MALFUNCTION a priority, they won't even admit the problem exists - despite countless forum members' posts describing the exact same issues.

It's ironic that it's the GS experience, not the Sheets problem, that has tainted everything Google for me.
I'm thinking nothing Google is the way to go.

One thing's for sure, GS is a complete FAIL.

Sincerely!

ATTENTION Google.  You have somehow broken Google Spreadsheets in numerous ways and we need to know when it will be fixed.  We have presentations for customers that are now not able to be provided because of the graph issue (and I am sure more).  The functionality worked fine a week + ago and no longer does.  When are you fixing???????

Please respond that you even see this message as we have no idea if we are being heard.

The thread has all the details.

Please help1!!

The problem is fixed for me as well but a colleague who did not have this problem yesterday is now having this problem today. Something is still off.
