Use controls to alter data (ideally in google sheets)

Hello,

I use excel for an interactive dashboard and I'm curious if the group can recommend ways to do this using google sheets google charts.

Is it possible to use controls similar to the ones described here https://developers.google.com/chart/interactive/docs/gallery/controls to change the value of the underlying data? For example use a slider to change the inflation rate and therefore see changes in a chart?

In excel I just assign the control to change a particular cell that runs a formula and alters the display on the dashboard.
