The highlighted annotation markers on the chart lines are much better visible with the outdated Annotation Timeline. If a user is picking a marked annotation in the annotation table the corresponding marker on the chart line is only emphasized when one is looking closely.

Also, when the user is picking a chart line marker the annotation background will be greyed out but it will not be visible when the annotation list is longer and the particular annotation text needs to be scrolled to first.

How about annotation pop-up boxes when hovering over the chart line markers?

Jahn,

I agree that the highlighting of annotation markers is not sufficient, and we need to add some more style options for that.

I'll be adding an auto scrolling capability to the annotation list.

Other ways of showing annotations are possible, such as your pop-up idea, and we will have more options in the future.  Thanks for your ideas.

Thank you!

Great would be an option to emphasize specific annotations by having them already popped up on the markers!

Is there any way that data could be utilized from a Google Spreadsheet?

By the way, what is the format for Date?
zoomStartTimeDatenoneSets the start date/time of the selected zoom range.

Daniel,
I have been playing recently with the Google Annotation Chart. I have > 100 points and associated annotations, so at any time, most of the annotations are 'off screen' in the annotation list.  It seems clear to my users (and to me!) that clicking on a particular data point in the line chart will scroll that point's annotation into view, if it is presently out of sight. However this behaviour does not happen by default, and I cannot find a way to make it happen.
I'm reviving this old topic because it looks as if Jahn encountered the same problem back in February, and I am interested to learn whether this behaviour was ever implemented, or if you still have plans to implement it. I believe it would enhance an already great chart.
Thanks and Regards,
Richard.

Thanks for your feedback.

We don't yet have a way to scroll the AnnotationChart's list of annotations to a selected annotation, though we plan to add that feature.
