In your example:

In your example you have a line of code:

{type: 'csv', datasource: 'https://spreadsheets.google.com/tq?key=pCQbetd-CptHnwJEfo8tALA'},
this is to make a toolbar.
you seem to have draw a line of code "key=pCQbetd-CptHnwJEfo8tALA' out of thin air.
this funny number comes from somewhere?
There is no way to make this work on my site as I can not pick a random number out of the air.
So please, please give us(me and other guys on the forum) a clue to your secret?
something else generated it, but what?
Is the guy who wrote this still working for google?

Hi John,

The example on that page is really about the ToolBar, so it is a little too terse about how to get data from a spreadsheet.  We'll probably change that.  But in the meantime, for more documentation on data from spreadsheets, see https://developers.google.com/chart/interactive/docs/spreadsheets
