Annotated timeline dos not work anymore?

I have used the annotated timeline graph for years, but recently it has stopped working.
I have found a page that explains it and is not supported anymore.

They said you should use Annotation Chart now, but i have no clue how to do that.

Is it a timeline chart with some customization or something?

The AnnotationChart has the same API as the AnnotatedTimeline, plus a few more things, and minus a few things that don't matter (hopefully).    So just load 'annotationchart' and use AnnotationChart instead of AnnotatedTimeline.

However, the AnnotationChart should be getting used automatically, since I made the code for AnnotatedTimeline just call the AnnotationChart.  You can see that happening here: https://developers.google.com/chart/interactive/docs/gallery/annotatedtimeline   So, in what way has it stopped working for you?

If you are still loading the old code via the jsapi loader, perhaps the problem is really that flash is disabled in your browser.  Problems with flash is the main reason why we have shifted to using the new AnnotationChart.

I am using chrome here, so no flash anymore indeed. Scrolling is impossible with the timeline.
I'm just a mainstream spreadsheet user, so code and API are Chinese for me. :)

The only possible charts i have are:
LINE:line chart, smooth line chart, combo chart
AREA: area chart, stacked area chart, stepped area chart, stacked stepped area chart
COLUMN: column chart, stacked column chart
BAR: bar chart, stacked bar chart
PIE: pie chart, dougnut char, 3D pie chart
SCATTER: scatter chart, bubble chart
MAP: geo chart, geo chart with markers
OTHER: sparkline chart, histogram chart, timeline chart, radar chart, motion chart, gauge chart, candlestick chart, organizational chart, treemap and table

No annotation chart in the list.
Is this an "living in Europe" issue?

Charts in spreadsheets should be updated with the AnnotationChart at some point.  I believe it is called a 'timeline' chart there, but which version of the spreadsheets you are getting could make a difference.  Not sure about the release cycle for Europe, but you might check in forums for spreadsheets.
