Hide or remove calendar chart legend

I'm using the calendar chart to simply provide tooltip information on a calendar control with no concern for the numeric value represented by a cell.  As such, I'm providing a value of 0 for the numeric property and would really rather not see the color gradient legend.  I've tried passing a "legend: 'none'" option parameter but that has no effect.

Is it possible to hide or remove the color gradient legend that appears next to a calendar chart?
