Regarding the roadmap for GSOC for beginners

Hi,

 I am 1st year student. I  just complete my DS- ALGO portion and now I am confused that should I move to competitive programming or should I go for development part?

It will be helpful for me if anyone guides me .. thankyou..

If you are much worried about your placement in top mncs then follow the path of competitive programming and complete a good project till final year of your graduation.
