Hey,

I'm trying to install the monitoring agent but I keep getting the error:

Failed to start LSB: data collector for Treasure Data

google-fluentd-1.5.28-1

Ubuntu 16.04.4 LTS

Amazon Lightsail

Not sure what other info I should post, any help will be appreciated.

Someone from our agents team might have insight into the specific error but fluentd is our logging agent so if you're trying to install the monitoring agent, you'll want to follow directions here.

Monitoring agent installed fine, my issue is with the logging agent, sorry for the mistake.

We've never tested on Amazon Lightsail, so I don't know how it differs from AWS EC2. There are no guarantees that this will even work (e.g., it may be missing some crucial bits of metadata that the agent relies on).

Are there any other errors in the logs? Anything in /var/log/google-fluentd/google-fluentd.log? What's the output of "sudo service google-fluentd status"?
