Container Optimized OS Monitoring Agent Issue

Hi,
We are not receiving any monitoring metrics on Memory and Disk from COS machines.

It suddenly stopped sending metrics from August 3rd. There is no data in metrics explorer for each agent endpoints for COS Vms.

We used startup scripts which will basically start monitoring agent, which was starting agent via docker container.

COS Used: cos-stable-81-12871-103-0 which got deprecated. 

So we also tried: cos-81-12871-1317-1

Are there any updates from the agent part, that we need to do?

Hi,

The monitoring integration in COS is fully managed by COS, so, unfortunately, there are no updates to the agent that you can make. Are you in a position to open a Cloud Support case? That would be the best way to proceed, as it would allow the product teams to investigate your specific issue in your environment.

If not, you could try some troubleshooting steps, like looking at agent container logs and seeing if there are any errors. It may be that restarting the agent service will allow it to resume sending metrics. Another option is to upgrade to a newer COS version that uses a different agent implementation.
