Important Metric Types for GKE for chart & alert policies

Hi All , 

 Please suggest important built-in metric types for monitoring GKE through charts & alerting policies . 

By default GCP visualize the CPU,Memory & Availability of nodes,pods and containers of GKE through default dashboard , Hence apart from those metrics any other important metric which we utilize it .

Example :  Kube_pod_status_phase & kube_node_status_condition metric types for Kubernetes container resource .

These are Prometheus metrics but it is not available in GKE native built-in metrics list but it is available under anthos , which I can't use it for native GKE.

Hi Deena,

The set of metrics available for GKE is documented at https://cloud.google.com/monitoring/api/metrics_kubernetes.

Details for using Prometheus with Cloud Monitoring are given at https://cloud.google.com/stackdriver/docs/solutions/kubernetes-engine/prometheus

Please know that we are always considering ways to add new metrics for GKE and Kubernetes.
