Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the DCM API support team.

Please be informed that I have removed your response from the forums as it contains the PII information.

Based on the information provided, it appears there is a formatting discrepancy between the data retrieved via the Campaign Manager 360 API and the data exported from the Campaign Manager 360 UI. The API returns detailed data, splitting it into multiple rows if there are different activity names. This behavior is inherent to the API's design. Can you confirm whether the discrepancy you are observing is solely related to formatting, such as a single row in the UI versus multiple rows in the API? Or are you also noticing differences in metrics, dimensions, and conversion values?

If you are seeing discrepancies between the metrics, dimensions, and conversion values from the Campaign Manager UI and the API then I would request you to provide the following:
  • DCM Account ID
  • Report File ID
  • Screenshot from the campaign manager 360 UI by highlighting the discrepancy.
You can send the details via Reply privately to the author option, or direct private reply to this email.

Hi,

I understand that the discrepancy you are observing is primarily related to formatting, with values matching correctly. As mentioned, the API inherently returns more granular data, often splitting it into multiple rows when different activity names are involved, whereas the UI consolidates this information into a single row.

If you have any further questions about usage of the CM360 API, please feel free to reach out.

Currently its only formatting based. The values match okay.

Hi,

The error message returned appears to be valid:

"Placement pricing period date range 7/1/23 - 7/31/23 must not overlap with any other pricing period date range 7/15/23 - 7/20/23."

As the dates do overlap, this behavior seems expected.

Additionally, we checked the changelog for this placement and did not find any overlapping pricing periods recorded. Could you clarify what you meant when you mentioned being able to perform this action via the API Explorer?

Thanks,
