Can't access read replica/slave?

I can't seem to access my read replica?

I used the same password as the master. I've tried the username "root", and all my access control names. None seem to work.

I also tried setting the database to an empty string if maybe it hadn't propagated the database yet.

Still no luck - am I missing something here?
