Google cloud SQL for #gcdc2013

I would like to enter #gcdc2013 challenge. I am making an app where i need to use mysql. But I cannot use cloud SQL without any credit card. I have no credit card.
Again there is a $2000 coupon for AppEngine, but even i want to use the coupon i need a credit card. Now what to do now?

We currently ask for a credit card in order to validate accounts in order to prevent abuse and protect the service for all our users.

We know its not great, and we're looking at alternative mechanisms.

Microsoft had similar but yet better handled challenge where anyone had access to it, rich or poor, credit card no credit card no discrimination no categorization, talent is what matters!
