Thanks, Lee. I did read that part of the documentation but I think it was a little ambiguous as to what the workflow is for connecting the mysql client to the database for the first time. From piecing various bits of doc together it seems like you have to activate the root user in the console before using the client to manage other users. If I'm wrong, and instead the root user is created with some default password, or the root user password can be supplied in the API call that creates the database it would remove this roadblock for us.
