Hi,

does anyone have any specifics what machine types the "Lightweight" vs. the "Standard" machine type maps to?

I suspect "Lightweight" is based on E2 and "Standard" on N1.

When creating a new instance this is the selection for the machine type now:

It's a bit annoying as the GCP calculator doesn't have a matching selection so figuring out pricing is kinda hard.

Thanks for any hints on how to figure out the pricing!

the legacy machine type name  is mapped to its equivalent string in the db-custom-_CPU_-_RAM_ format.  Here is the table(https://cloud.google.com/sql/docs/mysql/instance-settings#machine-type-2ndgen) you can refer to .

Let me be more specific , it refers to the db-n1-standard machine type, it calculates(https://cloud.google.com/sql/pricing#cpu-mem-pricing) based on the vCPUs and memory that you want.
