Restart takes forever?

Hi there, I just tried restarting our Cloud SQL instance, and its taking over an hour to come back.

Its unclear whether its hung up on stopping, or hung up on starting.

I've done this before, and it normally only takes a couple minutes.  

Anybody know what the reasons might be for it taking so long?

If your Cloud SQL instance gets stuck in a bad state and you no longer have control of it, the most effective course of action is to contact Google Cloud Platform support. This can be done either by profiting from your support package, otherwise by opening an issue with similar contents in the Public Issue Tracker.
