I'm using CloudSQL 2nd Generation. I changed the root password in the web console and now I keep getting the following error:
OperationalError: (1045, "Access denied for user 'root'@'cloudsqlproxy~173.194.90.32' (using password: NO)")
Is there anything I need to do to re-set the application or the database so my application can connect again? The application is never required to use the root password in the first place.
Thanks for any help!

Hi Aaron,
You mentioned that you've set the root password in the web console, right?
Since the root password is now set, you'll have to pass it in order to connect.

Thanks Tony, that works to specify the password. Is that a new change in the 2nd Gen Cloud SQL? I could have sworn I had changed the root password before on the 1st gen without a password being required.
