Hi all,

So far as I can make out, Google Cloud Filestore uses NFS. AWS' comparable product EFS suffers from the well publicised 16 group limit, which can't be circumvented by changing the file server options (it's fully managed).

Does anyone know if Filestore has the same issue?

Thanks,
Chris.

Yes, Filestore also has the 16 group limit.

Hello Chris,

Yes, Cloud Filestore does use NFS and would be subject to the same 16 GUID limit as this is a limitation of auth_sys as defined in RFC 5531.
